We all have Beautiful Minds. Yours’s and mine. 23 Mar 2023

I am grateful to tears for the grace given to me for a beautiful mind.  I like where it takes me most of the time.  I have always enjoyed the associations it makes, the patterns it sees.  I did not know these qualities as such in my youth and over time I started to see how different my mind could be from others.

I was born contemplative; I was probably trying to figure out things in the womb.  I remember being content with my own company early.  My mother said that the other mothers worried about me because I would play for hours alone with my trucks and toys in the sandbox!

My passion for play and being generally mischievous was with me from the get go.  And I wondered about things and thought about things.  I would listen to lyrics and see their stories.  I would not dance to a song where I did not agree with the lyrics.  I loved coloring books when I was 5-8.  I was very precise with staying in the lines.

My parents separated and divorced when I was 13, and it was an upheaval and had the gold lining of bringing myself more fully to my own.  I have always been willful, and I know this is a two-sided attribute.  And it relates to a strong sense of keeping my own counsel and looking into things.  I was serious as a young man from 13 years on and well through my college years.  I journaled a lot and wrote my thoughts and musings down; and I kept drawing and penning my art.

My high school yearbook quote was, “life is always being poured into your head, it is the uniqueness of the filter in the head that makes the person.”  It reflects I think the fundamental of choice.  We each choose from an innate and unique perspective what we take in, and keep in our minds.  We choose both consciously and unconsciously along a continuum that is our soul contract.  We create ourselves from our collection of memories and those values, beliefs, and ideas we hold most dear.

It is a journey for all of us, this path of always being in our own consciousness and the constant sorting of what is.  The constant experience and thoughts, and feelings that continually play – our endless running narrative, that is our journey, our lives.

Now I can say with some grateful pride in the Winter of my life that I like the way I think, I like the programming within my soul and conscious and unconscious mind.  The connections I make between things, the joy of expressing myself to others, when those rare opportunities come up to say your truth and be real with yourself and others.

I am coming more into seeing the beauty around me and the blessing of existence and how now the outer world lines up more with my inner world. I am seeing more coincidences and synchronicity then I did years ago.  A constant humbling and gratitude to be alive.  I like my mind, I am eternally grateful for it.

I hope you too are grateful and at peace with yours.

And I appreciate that it is not completely my own, my mind.  There is the flame of the divine within our minds that is eternal and infinite and connects us to every living thing.  And it nudges me gently onto my path, to my growing union with myself.  This divine grace guides my art and for this privilege I will remain eternally grateful.  And now I feel the responsibility to share it with others.  It was never meant for me alone, my beautiful – inspired mind like yours is part of the whole of us all and is to be shared.

Are you sharing your beautiful mind too?  We all as parts go to make up the whole…..

Namaste….
