Ronda No 1. Sept 2023
This is derived from a photograph. The original picture was taken in Sept 2023 on a trip to Ronda, Spain. It is taken on the lower level of Ronda. There is a bridge across the gorge that is about 500 feet below the upper bridge. There is a walkway up the East side of the gorge. This picture was taken from that vantage point towards the upper bridge.

I took the original photo and cropped it and enhanced it, and then copied it and added it to itself forming an altogether new landscape, and one with surprising symmetries. The figure created in the
center is kind of mesmerizing, like something created out of a jungle ritual. You could claim an eye in
the middle of the round mandala like center.
Take a look up the exact middle of the picture on the vertical axis, look closely and you will see, if you have disposition for it, lots of unique forms. You can see the same effect, rotating the image to a vertical orientation and viewing the center axis. This view is even richer, then that of the horizontal.
