This is set in space, without visible stars. The central figure is “Mankind” his head is tucked down in his shoulders and his arms are spread out to his sides with a relaxed torso and legs trailing below. Mankind is in the state of reverence, and being lifted in that state, I.E. “Ascending” above the planet below. “Reverence Ascending” is expressing a belief I hold that mankind’s long-term future requires us to fully engage and succeed in space exploration and colonization. It is interesting to note, that the Star Ship Reverence is seen twice in the work, first midway in the work entering a portal on Mankind’s left side, and second SS Reverence then appears at the top of the work exiting from another similar portal. Two rings, a red and blue one slip off the left hand of the mankind figure and descend and do a sling-
shot maneuver around the planet below. The rings appear to be pursuing, and will join Star Ship Reverence on its mission into deep space.

Reverence Ascending is available as a metal giclée print and a fine art paper print.  The metal giclée print is bonded to aluminum, with a hanging system attached to the back.  The print surface is covered with a cleanable, scratch resist, polycarbonate film.
