Mezquita No 2. Sept 2023
The original picture was taken in Sept 2023 on a trip to Cordoba Spain. This is a portion of one of the ceilings in the Mezquita de Cordoba. The Mezquita is a famous historic mosque with a catholic church within in its space. It is most popularly known for its hallways of endless Red and White arches. The Mezquita was built in 785-787 and has a long history.
The original picture is taken looking up from outside a domed space pointed towards an adjoining ceiling, there is a large arch that spans to top of the original photo. This arch at the top with the combining and build out of the original is what forms the circles. I find the four interconnected circles with their interior worlds complex and mesmerizing.
This is not the actual photo, so please do not go looking for this ceiling. This is a fabrication.
Mezquita No 2 is available as a metal giclée print and a fine art paper print. The metal giclée print is bonded to aluminum, with a hanging system attached to the back. The print surface is covered with a cleanable, scratch resist, polycarbonate film.
